I have been married to the "original one" for 45 years, have four grown, successful sons and - so far, seven grand children.
Some time ago, I owned and operated my own cross stitch shop (in the 1980's!) and over time, that business morphed into my own design company, Primitive Traditions. I've been dabbling in designing for about seven or eight years - I honestly can't remember when I decided to get serious about the whole thing, but after I closed my shop in 1988 to finish raising my kids in an atmosphere of relative sanity ("relative" being the key word), I found myself missing the friends and the beauty and creativity of the stitching world, and decided to jump into it all again with a line of custom grain-painted framing for designers and shops. That got my foot in the other door called wholesale marketing. Eventually tiring of saws and varnish and hammering and gluing, I started designing my own samplers and reproducing antique ones and here I am still! Life gets crazy busy and sometimes I get WAAAAAAAAY behind in business and over-indulge in family commitments (that translates mostly into babysitting), but I love it.
So sweet!!
